Yes it is hard to believe that it is four years since the highly successful inaugural Wenlock Olympian Games – Gliding in 2012, but it is.  We are pleased to announce that Midland Gliding Club will be repeating the event in 2016 in partnership with the Wenlock Olympian Society to coincide with the Olympic Games.  The web site is updated and the new entry forms are available online.  Entry fees are very little increased over those of three years ago to encourage as many entries as possible but the field is limited to 40 so best get in early.  We cordially invite any owner of a wooden or fabric covered glider to take part, any age and any performance, as tasks will be scored to allow for the wide range of handicaps.

The Vintage Glider Club had a fantastic week here at their National Rally this year and plan to return in four years time.  On one day they did 57 bungee launches, close to a record for the club, currently held by a party of Dutch visitors who managed nearly 70!
